Manx GP Preperations

Well folks its been a hectic time lately trying to get the bikes repaired after the TT . We got the 750 engine repaired and had outtings at Skerries and Kells qualifying for the main races and bringing down the laptimes at each circuit. I also had a run out on Ian's 600 too which was great and went well.

The race is on for myself and the Team to get ready for the Manx Grand Prix getting the bikes prepared ( 750 in picture) , a place i love and go well at. Last year we had a mixed Manx with setting the pace all week in practice and ending up getting injured on the last session. Although we battled on and salvaged 2nd in the Junior giving the team their first podium at the Manx.

We are struggling for funds at the minute and may be unable to take part. Although the Team set-up looks impressive and the bikes are always immaculately prepared people think we are loaded but its far from the truth. The teams only financial imput at the minute is ourselves so we are seeking everyones help to take us to the winners enclosure again this year at the Manx.

You too can be part of our Manx Grand Prix: http://prfracing.bigcartel.com/product/manx-grand-prix-fund-2009

All help is gratefully appreciated.

Cookstown 100 24/25th April

After the overnight ferry trip to Belfast on the  Sunday night after Oulton i had to stop off in Ballinderry with the Truck so the new Awning could get fitted at Terapin Awnings . Great service was provided by Gary and the boys then it was off home for a few days rest. On Thursday i left dublin and picked Paul up at Belfast Intl airport then a quick call in to collect truck with Terapin and off we went, next stop Cookstown!
Arriving mid afternoon we both set about putting the awning up and after an hour the job was done and bikes out!
We didnt have a great Cookstown due to the weather during qualifying and i started off in the B races. Now come race day there was riders who also didnt qualify out in the A races!! and on The 1000cc machines they didnt qualify on either! now who makes the rules up??  Anyway rant over hehe..
After our races were over it was pack up time and straight to the Hotel for our annual meal and a pint and on sunday morning  just as the pan was going on my lift to Dublin arrived thanks to the AIR Kawasaki lads. Cheers guys!!
Well its Oulton park BSB next where Ian is riding again in Superstock. I have decided to sit it out and put all my effort into the Northwest 200 where i will be riding in 5 races this year on the 600cc and Superstock 1000cc so keep an eye out for 29 and pop by the awning and say hello.

Oulton Park Wirral 100 18th April

Well, things have been a bit hectic since we done Brands Hatch as it was onto Oulton Park for the 2nd Wirral 100 meeting. Arriving on the friday we got to work on the bikes getting the new 600 ready for Ian and just putting tyres on them all for race day.
The weather was on our side and it stayed brilliant all day for our races.
Ian claimed 3 wins and a 3rd place and collected the man of the meeting award whilst Ryan settled in after only been at Oulton once before and dropped his lap times considerably as you can see from the race report on the main site .

The plan on Sunday was to ride at Scarborough but a last minute phone call and Ryan was on the boat home to Ireland with the truck for Cookstown the following weekend.

Brands Hatch BSB

Just a quick update on our recent excursion to Brands Hatch.

We set off on thursday night after Ryan had landed and arrived at the circuit in the small hours of Friday morning. An early start to get set up and get the tyres sorted for Ian and it was relaxation time. The plan was to be on track in the evening time for free practice but as Ian was making his way down his caravan wheel passed him! so there went some track time. On saturday we got Ian on the track for the first of his sessions putting in 22 laps at a very consistent pace, things were going well and continued to do so all weekend as you can see from our race report on the main site.

We had a surprise visitor in our camp on Race day, John Reynolds and one of the top brass from Suzuki popped by to say hello which was quite nice.

A long weekend but very much worthwhile.
Roll on round 2 at Oulton park 4th May.

Keep posted for our next meeting this weekend at Oulton Park

Team Update April

Well folks our first two meetings of the year were a success as you can see in the News Section of the website.
Both Ian and Ryan rode superbly at Anglesey notching up 3 podium finishes for the team and at Donnington Park for the Moto 6 nations where Ian finished a very impressive 3rd in the 600cc race having led the field until the final corner when the quickshifter packed in.

At this stage of the season we are just setting machines up and making steady progress getting both riders as many laps and tracktime on the bikes as they can in order to be sharp come the Northwest 200 and Isle of Man TT so to have these excellent results makes the hard work worthwhile over the winter.

Keep posted here for more news as it happens
